If you’re holding an event you may need to consider bringing in security but what exactly do you need. You’ll need to consider the type, size and context of your event. Here are some common types for you to consider.

General Security are staff that are not specialised and cover basic security. They can handle any type of event. If your event is fewer than 10 people 1 guard would be enough but for 250-1000 guests you would need to consider 15-30. 

A bodyguard would be needed if you are looking for personal specialised protection. 

It’s common to have security at entrances and exits during events, they can also be used around barriers and stages. Due to their roles and positions, they are called gatekeepers. 

Some specialised security are trained and tasked to control crowds. For particularly large events you may need to consider Mobile patrols.
