Security cameras can be placed almost anywhere in and around the home, but not all vantage points are advantageous. Some are better than others, here’s some of the best places to install security cameras around the home.

Overlooking The Front Door

It may come as a surprise, but many burglars gain entry int a home through the front door. What usually happens is that a burglar will come up to your home, knock on your door. If someone answers, the would-be-burglar pretends to be someone looking for directions. But if no one answers, they will often simply kick the front door in.

Be sure to place the camera high above the front door so no one can reach it.

The First Floor Window

Many burglars break in through the first floor window, although its often a window not facing the street. Its recommended that a camera should be placed above an easy to access window, or inside the home pointing at the window.
